1. Create your account
The account belongs to you, the parent — not to your child. You sign in with your email address, and your child practises inside it. That is what lets you see their progress and keep the settings under your control.
You will be asked for your child's first name (or a nickname) so the app can greet them properly. It never has to be their full name.
2. Verify your email
We email you a short code. Enter it in the app to confirm the address is yours.
This matters more than it looks: your email is how you reset a forgotten password, how you recover a forgotten parent PIN, and how we tell you if someone asks for access to your child's results. If the code has not arrived after a minute or two, check your spam folder before requesting another.
3. Set your parent PIN
Before the app opens properly, you will be asked to choose a parent PIN.
This is the lock on the grown-up half of the app. Your child uses the app freely, but anything that changes settings, spends money, or reveals their full progress history sits behind this PIN. Choose something your child will not guess — not their birthday, and not the PIN you use for anything else.
If you ever forget it, you can reset it by email from the PIN screen.
4. Start the first quiz
Your child can now practise. From their home screen they can pick a subject, choose a topic, and start a quiz. You do not need to set anything up first — the app works straight away.

What your child sees at the start
Two things are deliberately switched off for every new account: encouraging messages, and the leaderboard. A new household gets a plainer, quieter screen until you decide otherwise. You can turn either on at any time — see What your child sees.
