The child's half
This is what opens when the app starts. It is designed for your child to use on their own: pick a subject, pick a topic, answer questions, collect points and badges.
They can also see their own recent quizzes, their badges, their avatar and, if you have turned it on, the leaderboard. Nothing here lets them change account settings or see billing.
Your half — the Parent Area
Enter your parent PIN to open the Parent Area. This is where you will find:
- Summary and weak areas — how your child is doing, and which topics need work
- Per-topic progress — accuracy and time, broken down
- Quiz history — every quiz taken, with the results
- Create or assign a quiz — set specific work for your child
- Practice targets — what you would like them to reach in each area
- Progress analysis — trends over the past weeks
- Who can see your child — tutors or family members you have given access to
- Profile and settings — your details, what your child sees, emails, your data, subscription
Moving between them
Use the bottom navigation bar. Leaving the Parent Area does not require the PIN — only entering it does.
If you are handing the device straight back to your child, step out of the Parent Area first. The PIN protects it from being opened, not from being left open.
Forgotten your PIN?
Tap Forgot PIN on the PIN screen. We email a code to your registered address, and you can set a new one. This is one of several reasons to keep that email address current.
