Supervisor Terms — TransferNI

Effective date: 1 August 2026 Version: 1.0

These terms apply to you if you have been given a TransferNI account that lets you follow one or more children's progress — as a parent or guardian of more than one child, as a teacher, or as a private tutor. We call that a Supervisor Account, and you a Supervisor.

You must accept these terms the first time you sign in. They are in addition to our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Notice, which also apply to you.

1. How you get access to a child

1.1 You never gain access to a child by asking us. Access exists only where that child's parent or guardian has approved you personally, and it lasts only while that approval stands.

1.2 A parent can withdraw your access at any time, without notice and without giving a reason. When they do, the child disappears from your account immediately.

1.3 When you invite a child by email address, you confirm you already hold that address for the purpose of contacting that family, and that it belongs to an adult. Do not enter a child's own email address.

2. What you may use the access for

2.1 You may use a Supervisor Account only to support the learning of the children whose parents have approved you. That is the entire purpose of the access, and the only permitted one.

2.2 You must not:

tutoring or teaching that child;

2.3 If you are a teacher or tutor, the relationship over tutoring itself — fees, arrangements, conduct — is between you and the family. We are not a party to it.

3. What you can see

3.1 A Supervisor Account shows you, for each approved child: their name and email address, a nickname you may set for your own reference, and their practice activity — quizzes taken, questions attempted and answered correctly, topic accuracy, and progress over time.

3.2 You cannot see the family's account, payment, subscription or message details, and you must not attempt to obtain them.

3.3 Some of what you can see is a child's personal data. Treat it as confidential. If you hold or record it outside TransferNI, you are responsible for doing so lawfully.

4. Your account

4.1 Keep your sign-in details secret and do not share them. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has used your account.

4.2 Tell us — or the parent — if you no longer need access to a child, so it can be removed.

5. If you break these terms

5.1 We may suspend or close a Supervisor Account, and remove its access to every child, where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached. Where a breach involves a child's data we may also inform the affected parents and, where the law requires it, the Information Commissioner's Office.

6. Changes, and contact

6.1 We may update these terms. We will change the version and effective date above and ask you to accept the new version when you next sign in. The app records the version you accepted.

6.2 Questions about these terms or about a child's data: privacy@transferni.com.
